Spring comes to an end and things really start to heat up in Montana, this also marks an ideal time for tourists to come and visit for summer activities. This also marks the beginning of rodeo season!

Montana Mule Days

  • About: Montana’s largest Mule and donkey show, including riding, driving cattle events, and gymkan. This family-friendly event also includes local vendors, food, and other events.

Wings Across The Big Sky Bird Festival

  • Date: June 3-5, 2022
  • AddressLewistown, MT
  • About: An absolute must-attend for bird-watching enthusiasts, this three-day event is all about birdwatching and getting together with fellow veterans and birders. Guided tours and get-togethers. Check the site and included brochure to make sure you find room in the hotel as well as what other treats are in store for bird enthusiasts.

Moss Mansion Springfest

  • Date: June 4, 2022 
  • Address: Moss Mansion, Billings, MT
  • About: Held on the beautiful lawn of the Moss Mansion the day offers regional artists and artisans, food, and specialty booths. Live music, local entertainers, art and craft demonstrations, and children’s activities.

Whoop-Up Days and Rhubarb Festival

  • Date: June 5-6, 2022
  • Address: Conrad, MT
  • About: Annual rodeo in Conrad that includes; Bareback Riding, Bull Riding, Junior Barrel Racing, Junior Breakaway Roping. Ladies Barrel Racing, Ladies Break Away Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Sheep Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, and Tie Down Roping. There are also plenty of opportunities to try food from the area!

Bitter Root Day

  • Date: June 11, 2022
  • Address: Ravalli County Museum, Hamilton, MT
  • About: Bitter Root Day is a festival centered around the state flower, the Bitter Root. The Festival includes authentic Salish drumming, dancing, and singing, free activities for children of all ages, arts, crafts, food and produce from local and out of area vendors, and a special exhibit.

Powell County Territorial Days

  • Date: June 17, 18, 2022
  • Address: Deer Lodge, MT
  • About: Annual event in deer lodge with a car show, vendors and a color run!

Lewis and Clark Festival

  • Date: June 17-19, 2022
  • Address: Great Falls, MT
  • About: The Festival highlights the Lewis and Clark Expedition and their stay in the Central Montana area in 1805. Observe reenactors in historic dress, as they re-create their adventures, and talk about their life along the Missouri. There are also food and art vendors.
