One chairlift and three slopes were all that Red Lodge Mountain ski area started out with in 1960 when it was known as Grizzly Peak. Today, the 1,635-acre resort boasts huge mountain entertainment without the big prices and crowds, thanks to one of Montana’s most extensive snowmaking systems.
The Red Lodge Mountain Ski and Snowboard School offer beginner and intermediate lesson/lift programs for people aged 4 and up. Additionally, there is an adapted snow sports program and an on-mountain rental business that offers snowboard and ski rentals, as well as multi-day rentals.
It’s also worth noting that Red Lodge Mountain isn’t part of either the Epic or Icon Pass programs.
