This YMCA Riverbank Run is an established, family-friendly event open to all ages and abilities. The run also serves as a fundraiser for the local YMCA, with proceeds from entrance tickets being used in support of local youth programs.
Participants run through the streets of Missoula to help raise money for the various YMCA benefits and programs that can be life-saving for some.
On top of promoting awareness of a worthy cause, the Riverbank Run also aims to raise awareness of the importance of a fit and healthy lifestyle, with entrants ranging from fun runners or walkers to professional athletes.

When Was the Run Established?
The 2023 event sees the fun run in its 50th year! Since 1972, the YMCA Riverbank Run has been gaining weight as a springtime tradition for Missoulians. And with entrant numbers in the region of the 4,000 mark, the event shows no signs of slowing up.
