How Many Holes is the Big Sky Golf Course?
Designed by golfing legend Arnold Palmer in the 1970s, the extensive Sky Golf Course is an 18-hole par 72 golf course, 6,500 feet above sea level. The course offers four varying degrees of difficulty with the availability of blue, gold, white, and red tees.
While the course was designed as an 18-hole course that visitors should play to enjoy its complete wonderment, it does offer visitors the chance to play either its front nine or back nine if they prefer a shorter round on the tees.
Both the front and back nine offer a fantastic combination of challenging courses and aesthetic holes that provide one of the most unique and beautiful rounds of golf you have ever played. All course play is required to follow USGA Rules of Golf and local rules.
When Does the Big Sky Montana Golf Open?
Due to the cold weather conditions of Montana’s winters, the Big Sky Golf Course closes during the region’s off-season.
While other services at the Big Sky Resort remain open throughout the year, the golf course ends with the resort’s summer season on October 2nd. It doesn’t reopen to the public until May 20th.
Tee times can be booked for any time between 8 am and 6 pm. Be sure to buy your membership and travel dates before visiting, as tee times for the course fill up fast.
