How KettleHouse Amphitheater Started
Opening in 2017, KettleHouse Amphitheater is one of the newer concert venues in Montana. Started by Nick Checcota, owner of the event management company Logjam Presents, the venue was built in hopes of offering concerts both small and large in a place by nature.
The idea of building the concert venue was started when both Nick Checcotta and KettleHouse Brewing Company owner Tim O’Leary were discussing the brewing facility.
Located on a former mill site, O’Leary mentioned that the area could potentially host an outdoor concert venue. Checota also saw potential and well the KettleHouse signed a long-term lease on the land, Logjam started building the concert venue.
The venue took a lot of work to build, with about 150 people working to build it.
KettleHouse Amphitheater opened to the public on July 13, 2017, with its first concert being hosting Lyle Lovett and His Large band. The first few concerts were a huge success and are now considered by many to be one of the best outdoor venues in the country.
The venue continues to grow and is offering more and more well-known artists. Today KettleHouse Amphitheater is widely popular and tickets to concerts often sell out quite quickly.
